Dr. Pham Thi Viet Huong, MD, PhD, is a medical oncologist with extensive experience in the field of oncology. Over the years, she has authored nearly 30 scientific publications, books, and research papers, many of which have had significant practical applications and impact.
Dr. Hương has profound expertise in autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation for patients with Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute myeloid leukemia, acute lymphoblastic leukemia, and other indicated conditions. She has also been an active member of the treatment team in Vietnam’s first clinical project applying CAR-T cell therapy for relapsed and/or refractory lymphoma and leukemia.
In 2023, Dr. Huong completed a scientific fellowship at Karolinska University Hospital, Sweden – a top 6 hospital worldwide for quality of patient care and training – where she specialized in allogeneic stem cell transplantation and CAR-T therapy.
She obtained her PhD in Medicine in 2016 and has actively contributed to academic and professional development by serving on expert councils, chairing scientific conferences, and leading specialized training courses in hematology and oncology across the US, Germany, Australia, Singapore, and Sweden. Dr. Huong has also dedicated many years to advancing professional associations, including the Vietnam Pediatric Oncology Sub-Association, Vietnam Cancer Association, and Vietnam Pediatric Association. In addition, she has been a visiting lecturer at Hanoi Medical University, where she has supervised numerous theses and dissertations for medical students and oncology residents.
