Master, Doctor Nguyễn Thị Thanh Huyền is currently affiliated with the Oncology – Radiotherapy Center at Vinmec Times City International Hospital in Hanoi, bringing many years of experience in internal oncology and palliative care. She graduated with a Doctor of Medicine degree from Hanoi Medical University (2003–2009), then pursued oncology specialization orientation (2011–2012) and deeper oncology training (2016–2018). Before joining Vinmec, she served as an oncologist at Viet Xô Friendship Hospital from 2009 to 2021.
In her clinical practice, Dr. Huyền offers a range of cancer treatment services, including lung cancer, urinary system cancers (kidney, bladder, ureter, prostate), head and neck cancer, and supportive care for older patients with comorbidities. She also provides cancer screening, autologous immunotherapy consultation, and palliative care for late-stage patients.
On the research front, Dr. Huyền has published numerous articles such as “Evaluation of Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor Treatment in Metastatic Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with Brain Metastases” (Vietnam Journal of Oncology, Issue 1, 2018), “A Case Report of Hemophagocytic Syndrome” (Vietnam Journal of Medicine, 2018), “Evaluation of Erlotinib Treatment in EGFR-Mutated Lung Cancer with Brain Metastases” (Vietnam Journal of Oncology, 2019), and papers on immune checkpoint inhibitor–related lung toxicity (Vietnam Journal of Medicine, 2024). She is a member of the Vietnam Oncology Society and the Vietnam Palliative Care Society. Over her career, Dr. Huyền has been honored with a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Health Sector Trade Union (2017) and named a Local-Level Emulation Soldier in 2018 and 2020.
