Overview

Dr. Do Viet Thang is a highly trained and experienced cardiologist with extensive expertise in both internal medicine cardiology and interventional cardiology. After completing his cardiology residency, Dr. Thang was sent to Severance Hospital (Seoul, South Korea) for advanced training in medical and interventional cardiology, including coronary interventions, aortic interventions, transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVI), and peripheral artery interventions. Upon returning to Vietnam, he served as Deputy Head of the Interventional Cardiology Unit at Phu Tho General Hospital.

With over 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Thang has treated approximately 10,000 cardiovascular patients and has personally performed successful coronary and peripheral artery stent placements in about 8,000 patients. He regularly presents at national and international cardiology conferences and continues to attend advanced professional training programs in Vietnam and abroad. Since 2020, Dr. Thang has been a member of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) Interventional Cardiology Section.

Dr. Thang directly performs interventional cardiology procedures, including coronary and peripheral artery angiography and interventions (lower extremities, renal arteries, upper extremities), aortic interventions, and provides consultation on electrocardiograms (ECG), 24-hour Holter ECG, 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring (ABPM), and myocardial perfusion imaging (SPECT).
