Master, Doctor of Specialist Level II Nguyen Quoc Viet has many years of experience in cardiology, particularly in interventional and internal cardiology. He graduated from the School of Medicine at Hue University (1993–1999), then trained in cardiology at Hue Central Hospital, completed his internal medicine residency, and obtained his Specialist Level II in cardiology at Hue. In his career, Dr. Viet worked in the Intensive Care Unit at Da Nang Hospital, later in its Cardiology Department, and now serves in the Outpatient & Internal Medicine Department at Vinmec Da Nang International Hospital.
Dr. Viet offers diagnosis and treatment for cardiovascular conditions including valvular disease, cardiomyopathy, arrhythmias, coronary artery disease, pre- and post-intervention follow-up. He performs echocardiography, supports interventional cardiology, and collaborates in planning internal cardiology therapy. He has contributed to research such as diastolic dysfunction in diabetic patients, peripheral arterial injury in stable coronary artery disease, changes in myocardial biomarkers before and after intervention, and longitudinal studies of coronary interventions at Da Nang Hospital over multiple years.
