Overview

Tran Van Cong, MD, PhD  graduated from HaNoi Medical University (HMU) in 1993. He completed his oncology residency three years later. He worked at Cancer National Hospital VietNam from 1998 to 2021. During this time he also completed his research about chemotherapy on osteosarcoma and received his PhD Degree from Hanoi Medical University in 2010. His research contributed to increase the 5-year survival rate of osteosarcoma patients from 19.9% to 62% in Vietnam. He was the former head of the Pediatric Department of the National Cancer Hospital from 2000 to 2019. In his career, he has a passion for research and treatment of bone cancer and soft tissue tumors, especially osteosarcoma in children. Joining Vinmec Healthcare system, he worked as the Head of Chemotherapy and Supportive treatment Unit, Department of Bone and Soft tissue Tumor Surgery, Vinmec Center of Orthopaedic.
